In Siem Reap, there are four seasons: 1. Cool/Dry – November to February; 2. Hot/Dry – March to May; 3. Hot/Wet – June to August; 4. Cool/Wet – September to October. The monsoon between June and October follow a fairly regular pattern with clear mornings and 1-3hour rains in the afternoon, making them dairly easy to plan around. Though cool-dry season is considered by many to have the best weather of the year, the wet season has its advantages for the temple visitor. The temples are more photogenic with their moats and pools full, the vegetation is green and lush and the colors in the wet temple stone stands much brighter and more apparent than when dry. The temples are also less touristed during the wet season.
