Internet and Telecommunication

From Vietnam through Thailand, internet is quite common in those major tourism places around Indochina. You can access internet in your hotels, only if they are 3-star or above, upscale restaurants or shops. There are also internet bar for you to choose. Depending on the development level of different destinations, the speed of internet surfing could be very fast or unbearably slow.

If you will stay a long period of time in a certain country of Indochina, it is highly recommended that you buy a local SIM card for your cell phone. Mobile communication is very useful for your travel around the country. You can contact your tour guide, driver and call for emergency in case. There are different GSM network operators in different countries, ask you travel guide and let them help you to get the card.
