Ho Chi Minh City

In the morning, we will take a boat trip over the Saigon River downstream. During the 2 hours, you will witness different aspects of Saigon life: from skyscrapers to thatched roof houses, from teenagers in Levi's jeans to kids half-naked, from crowded city square to open rice fields, every and each of which states for life you have probably never seen before. Waving to kids playing in water or on baffulos' back, this boat trip can be fun and eye-opening for your kids. We will stop at a riverfront village. Walking on the narrow country road, you will encounter farmers on their way back home for lunch. Later, your family will be invited for lunch in a local household.
In the afternoon, IOT's private van will take you back to the city. Here, you will visit the Post Office. The gleamingly colorful building is full of stories to tell and the postcard collection is so inspiring that your kids would definitely love to get some to mail home. Instead of emails, Tweeters or Facebook updates, isn't postcard a more brilliant and special idea to wow friends back home for this joyful Vietnam holiday? Later, step into Notre Dame Cathedral, with all the materials imported from France, this Catholic Church served for French colonialists and in someway became a major channel to preach God's gospel to local folks.
Night time is for your family dinner in a nice local restaurant.
Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City - Tay Ninh - Ho Chi Minh City

Just outside the city, a reminder of wartime evocates history buffs' passions, that is the Cu Chi Tunnel System.
In the morning, you will take an interesting motorcycling tour to Cu Chi, Tay Ninh.(*Note: Kids under 16 will be carried on the back of IOT's professional guide's motorcycle.) In Cu Chi Tunnel System, you can try worming into the narrow tunnel, or climb up the abandoned US tanks, or more excitingly, try shooting! Make a fun day for your family Vietnam holiday!
Later, we will get a taste of Vietnam's most intriguing and tricky indigenous religions: Cao Daism in the Cao Dai Great Temple, a somewhat eerie rococo extravaganza jamming the conflicting architectural idiosyncrasies of a French church, a Chinese pagoda, Hong Kong's Tiger Palm Garden and Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. Regardless of the quizzical jaw-dropping, this place is a good rest spot after a Cu Chi Tunnel System trip. Have lunch in a nearby restaruant.
In the afternoon, we will drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and you will have a great deal of fun while exploring the city at your own pace.
Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Day - 4

Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap

Nobody could miss a Mekong Delta visit in their Vietnam tours.
In the morning, you'll leave Ho Chi Minh City for the Mekong Delta town of My Tho, where you will board a boat to visit one of the wild islands.
On the island, we will visit an orchard and take the chance at those exotic fruits. How to make a snake drinkable? The locals wow you with a cup of snake wine, don't be scared and give it a try! A few years mellow the wine and it will definitely become a percious part of your Vietnam holiday collection!(*Note: no wine for kids under 18.)
In the household, we will also witness the old procession of rice paper, coconut candy, rice candy and salt making. Yes, this is the real life of Vietnamese people, who enjoy every little dew of God's grace even if they don't own a sport car. Walking into one of their ordinary days will help you understand what life is like in Vietnam and it will stuck in your memory for quite a long time. Have freshly-cooked Mekong style lunch in the orchard with the householder.
In the afternoon, we will drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Reward yourself some free time sauntering about.
At the evening, an international flight will take you to Siem Reap. Check in upon arrival and have a free night in Siem Reap.

Get up early, we will break into the morning mist to Angko Wat. Up in one of the pagodas, together your family will embrace a brand new sun rising up, which will stuck in your eternal recollection after this Cambodia holiday.
After simple picinic breakfast, we will start the tour in Angkor Wat.
Angkor Wat, literally means City of Temples, was used to hold sacrifices at important ceremonies by king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. Time lost its track in here and after re-discovery about 150years ago; it has soon become one of the most visited archaeological and artistic sites to all Cambodia tours. Today, under IOT's professional Cambodia tour guide's lead, you will touch every inch and every detail of Angkor Wat. We will finish the tour in Angkor Wat before noon and drive back to Siem Reap downtown for lunch.
After lunch, we will take some free hours in one of Siem Reap's relaxing cafés. When the sky starts to turn orange, IOT's private Cambodia tour guide will take you to Bakheng Hill for a stunningly beautiful sunset over the whole town.
As the sun is slowly and gracefully setting down the horizon, your light-menu dinner will be served by the lakeshore of the Lotus Lake, a perfect place for gourmet after a whole day Cambodia tour, isn't it? Activities including fishing, boating and fish-feeding will be at your choice for some after-dinner fun.

Have breakfast in your hotel with traditional Khmer instrument playing. Later, we will drive to Angkor Thom, literally meaning Great City, another famous Cambodia tours' spotlight. Numerous huge pillars are engraved stories about Cambodia's history and culture, as well as some folktales, which greatly amuses us Cambodia tour makers with its vivid lifelikeness and remarkable perseverance.
In Angkor Thom, we will visit its attached attractions including the grand South Gate, the Bayon Temple, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of Leper King. Angkor Thom will give us a joyful and plentiful morning and we will have lunch in a nearby restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will try to beat the heat under the lush trees in Ta Prohm. Hiding itself deep among the canopying trees, Ta Prohm secretly reveals its majesty for those savvy Cambodia tour makers. Ta Prohm, in fact is a brilliant complex of Angkorian architecture and sculpture, including: Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool; Ta Som, built in late 12th century C.E. the most distant temple on the grand circuit, small but classic. Preah Khan Temple, built by the King Jayavarman VII. We will also visit the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls) and Ta Keo, constructed in late 10th early 11th century. Finish today's Cambodia tour with a beautiful sunset on the way back to Siem Reap downtown.

Early in the morning, little birds will wake you up.You might be feeling drowsy from the warmth of sleep. However, no sooner has a line of walking monks emerged than you get clear-headed. Morning alms collecting supports most of the monks in Luang Prabang, and this ritual also enjoys great prestige over other Laos tour attractions. After giving alms to monks with respect and best hope for them, you will visit Luang Prabang's most famed attractions: the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping towards to the ground in the classical architectural style of Luang Prabang temples. Later, we will visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun. Have lunch in a local restaurant.
Although steeped in cultural and religous attractions, one of Luang Prabang's powerful draws for kids is the chance to get close to the elephants.
