One Week in Laos

Wherever you come from, Vietiane will always welcome you with its warmest smile. Upon arrival, your private Laos travel guide will be waiting at the airpot. Check in hotel and then you will be free in the city.

Vientiane, being the capital of such an ancient country means it has all the reason to lure numbers of Indochina tours diggers to discover its mejesty. Today, a city tour enables us to see the major temples of Vientiane including the oldest, Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues,; and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, housing the famous Emerald Buddha Image, amazes its Indochina tours makers. We also visit Lao national icon, That Luang Stupa, getting an idea why it attracts so many people. And we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph.

Laos' beauty never ends, satisfying answer to all the Indochina vacation spenders. Today, we make our way by route No. 10 North to Vang Vieng, via Nam Ngum Lake, (90 km N), with hundreds of small islands. En route, we stop to visit Ban Bor, a village where natural salt is produced. Arrive in Nam Ngum Lake and we will enjoy our lunch at local restaurant overlooking panoramic view of the lake.
After lunch, we will have a half day tubing there. Then, we will depart to Vang vieng and catch the sunset over the mountains.

After breakfast at hotel, check out of your hotel, visit the local market and then the Tham Jang Caves through which flows a crystal clear stream. Later, we will drive to Luang Prabang, passing through splendid scenery and remote villages. Have lunch en route.
In the afternoon, we will arrive in Luang Prabang, check in and take a short break. Later, we will enjoy an exploration of the former royal capital & crown jewel of the ancient Lane Xang Empire (pronounced 'lan sang') – the Land of a Million Elephants. Have dinner and then take a stroll in the night market.

One of the many reasons people get amazed in their Laos tours is the morning alms-giving ritual, which you will witness early in the morning. After that,we will enjoy a breakfast with bird's twittering. Later, we will take a city tour to be acquainted with Luang Prabang.
Today we will visit: Wat Visoun, the 16th century temple served as a small museum for religious artifacts; Wat Aham, the early 19th century temple. Phousi Hill, the 328 steps leads to the summit of Phousi hill that dominates the skyline of Luang Prabang overlooking the finest panoramic view in the whole town. Have lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will be free in the town.

First thing for every Laos tours maker to do in the morning is to visit the morning Phousi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings.Later, we will drive our way to Kuang Si Waterfall.On the way, we will pay a visit to the Lao ethnic minority groups in Ban Na Ouan Village and Hmong Village. Later, free yourself in the cool ponds of Kuang Si Waterfall. Splashing, swimming, or simply walking the lush trails, Kuang Si Waterfall perfectly illustrates an ideal cooling-off for your Laos tours! We will be back before dusk.

Your full day city tour begins with a boat trip upstream to Pak Ou Cave, seeking for the hidden gems for your Laos tours. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. Have lunch in a village.
On return, we disembark the boat to visit traditional villages, and continue taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving. We will be driving back to Luang Prabang before sunset.
