Cuc Phuong National Park

Established in 1962, Cuc Phuong National Park is one of Vietnam’s most important protected areas and it’s a must-see spot for your Vietnam holiday. Ho Chi Minh personally took time off from the war in 1963 to declare this Vietnam’s first national park, saying: ‘Forest is gold. If we know how to conserve it well, it will be very precious. Destruction of forest will lead to serious effects on both life and productivity.’ The park is home to excellent Endangered Primate Rescure Centre.The national park is located about 500m before the national park reception centre. You can’t wander around the centre alone, so if you are travelling independently you need first to go to the national park reception area and arrange a guide, who will accompany you in your Vietnam tours in this park.
