Anything organised by Eric at Indochinaodysseytours seems to work perfectly. I started my trip in Vietnam with Hanoi and the cruise on Ha Long Bay, and everything worked like like clockwork. The cruise is very enjoyable and the Bay, of course, is spectacularly beautiful. Highly recommended in all aspects!

My wife and I and another couple organised a 10 day "Best of Vietnam" tour recently. From the first email to them to arriving back in Perth Australia, everything was exceptional. The Odyssey team were very organised and professional with information and making the bookings needed to ensure an awsome experience. We spent 10 great days travelling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). Odyssey arranged all of the visas, hotels, internal flights, transport and most importantly chose travel guides who were exceptional. Thank you to Queyn, Sang and Kevin for your friendship and guidance. We were taken to places and sights and given a wonderful cultural experience. A great paced tour that I would recommend to anyone in their 50's.

My granddaughter (17) chose Indochina as the destination for her graduation gift from me & I chose IOT, mainly on the basis of the internet rave reviews. Allison Chiang from IOT worked with me for several months to plan a trip that included the sights & activities my granddaughter hoped for within the confines of her school break, plus a week. My son joined the 2 of us for the 1st trip to Asia for any of us, end of March to April 12, 2015. I have never been on such a well planned & well executed trip with uniformly excellent guides & drivers. All of them were professional yes, but also cheerful, informed, inventive & attentive. We enjoyed each of them for their distinctive personalities & gifts they shared with us. Our drivers managed the amazing traffic without scaring us & magically appeared to pick us up when we emerged from our activity. We were met at the airport in every city by guide & driver & when delivered to the airports most of our guides accompanied us right up to security, very comforting. Hai (guide) & Mr. Hung (driver) took care of us in HCMC & to the Mekong delta towns of My Tho & Can Tho. Since our interests were for the sights, culture & more ancient history, we could have skipped the War Memorial Museum. With one exception, all our hotels were selected by Allison at IOT & although we had favorites, they were all great. The Grand Silverland Hotel in HCMC was fine although the room was small for 3. Just like NYC, as the city grows the hotel rooms shrink. By contrast, in lovely Can Tho we stayed at the Nan Bo Boutique, in 2 beautiful rooms. The sights & boat trips in the Delta were all delightful. Since we are from the SW mountains of Virginia, the heat was an issue for me, although all the hotels & most restaurants had AC. The restaurants without AC were well cooled either by the river &/or shade.

I didn't expect to find such a cosmopolitan city.
I was impressed with how many motorcycles are there in this city and, how heavy the traffic is but, everything flows perfectly.

Our trip was most successful in all aspects.

Our guides, Tien in Ha Noi and Dinh in Hue & Hoi An spoke English well. They
both are well informed and brought us to all the sightseeing on our
itineraries. Mr. Tien and Mr. Dinh are both professional,
well-informed, punctual, courteous, respectful, energetic, cheerful,
as well as being attentive to our needs. They know their history and
we were happy to have them share their knowledge of the Vietnamese
culture with us. We visited Temples, Pagodas and the popular tourist
attractions as well as the true and real Vietnamese people located off
the beaten path. In short, they were in tune with our personal

Our drivers Mr. Nang and Mr. Minh in Ha Noi and Mr. Het in Hue & Hoi An are
excellent navigators of the roads and felt completely safe in their

Essence d'Orient Hanoi Hotel & Spa was charming as was the Little Hoi An
Boutique & Spa. Delicious food and excellent service at restaurants at
these hotels. Receptionists, chefs, servers, and all staff are both
professional and congenial.

The pedicab ride around the Hoan Kiem Lake in the Old Quarter of Ha Noi
was fun. Induldged in Vietnamese coffee with egg (rum optional) in a
wonderful coffee shop hidden in an alley - 39 Nguyen Huu Huan street, Ha Noi. Ate a giant dumpling stuffed with shredded pork, mushrooms and onions -- pronounced: pa-paow, also in an alley. Better the food, the harder to find.

A favorite was the overnighter on the Bhaya Cruiser (junk) in Ha Long Bay (Miss Happy was the best manager on the junk.) Food and accommodations better than expected.

Glad we didn't miss the silk village in Hoi An; bought whole bean
coffee on the side of the road in Khe Sanh; learned how to recognize
genuine pearls; shown how eucalyptus oil is extracted; and lastly, but
certainly not least, was paddling a bamboo basket boat through the
coconut palm trees!

We were lucky not to get ill. Our guides did their part in instructing
us where to get street food and providing us with plenty of bottled
water. We were very grateful to also receive moist towelettes to
refreshen ourselves during the high humidity from Mr. Het.

Don't forget to get a massage.
Also, get groomed by "Uncle" the barber in the souvenir shop at 91 Tran Phu, Hoi An.
Take home a lovely lantern as a memento, buy lovely silk scarves, perhaps order a dress or suit from the fine tailors in Hoi An.

All our concerns of booking this tour online through email were unsubstantiated.

Thank you all -- Indochina Odyssey Tours, guides and drivers for making this a wonderful trip with wonderful memories!
