Hangzhou-Chiang Mai Non-stop Flight to be Launched

With the news of Air China launching Chiang Mai-Beijing flight still fresh in our mind, we’re glad to hear that there will be a flight connecting Chiang Mai with Hangzhou, another famous tourist city in China. The Thai AirAsia (TAA) is planning to launch a non-stop daily flight to Hangzhou from Chiang Mai from February 2014 in order to draw more travelers to Chiang Mai.

Hangzhou, famed for its West Lake, is a popular tourist destination in China and also a convenient jumping-off point to Shanghai, the largest city in China, while Chiang Mai is the major tourist hub in northern Thailand. The launch of Hangzhou-Chiang Mai flight will make it convenient for travelers who end their China tour in Hangzhou or Shanghai to start the trip to Thailand and vice verse. Apart from Hangzhou, the carrier also operates daily service to Macau and Hong Kong.

The airline is now offering promotional fare for booking Chiang Mai-Hangzhou flights, starting at 1,990 baht one-way including duel surcharge and airport tax. The promotional deal is available from January 5, 2014 for travel between Feb 21, 2014 and Jan 31, 2015.
