Day 1: International arrival, Bangkok
Welcome to colorful Southeast Asia! Upon arriving in Bangkok, be welcomed by your tour guide from Indochina Odyssey Tours at the airport, transfer to hotel and check in. Rest of the day at leisure to better recover from the jet lag.

Day 2: Bangkok Sightseeing
After breakfast, you will walk through the flower and vegetable market with a fresh and pleasant smell. Next, head to the Grand Palace, the architectural miracle of Thailand and visit Wat Phra Kaew inside the palace.
After lunch, see Thai houses and rural life by a long-tail boat cruising along the canal. Finally, proceed to Wat Arun. Touring to this unique white temple should be one of the top things to do in Bangkok for first-time visitors.

Day 3: Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok
Today you will enjoy an excursion to Ayutthaya, an ancient city as the former Thai capital for 400 years with past glory and beauty retains traceable. Firstly, visit Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, which combines various types of architecture ranging from Thailand to China. Later, head to Ayutthaya Historical Park. Here, you will marvel at the Buddha's head within a tree in Wat Mahathat, learn about the history behind Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and see the huge bronze Buddha inside Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit.
After the tour, return to your hotel in Bangkok.

Day 4: Bangkok - Chiang Mai
After breakfast then fly to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and have a short rest at noon. In the afternoon, climb up to the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the temple itself and the splendid panoramic view of Chiang Mai are quite worth the climbing. Evening, feast on the authentic flavor and culture of Northern Thailand while enjoying a Khantoke Dinner & Cultural Show.

Day 5: Chiang Mai Elephant Park Tour
Today, spend the day caring for elephants in Baan Chang Elephant Park. At 8:30 to 9:00, leave by shuttle bus for the 50-minute drive to this elephant refuge for an Elephant's Day Care experience. Touch, play with and bathe the well-cared-for animals and even prepare their lunch and serve it to them! After your own lunch, visit the baby elephants in their special nursery area, before returning to Chiang Mai.

Day 6: Chiang Mai Sightseeing & Cooking Class
Today, first join a cooking class instructed by an experienced chef. By taking part in every step from selecting ingredients on the local market to preparing the materials, you can easily figure out the secret behind the delicious Thai food. Enjoy your lunch made by yourself.
After lunch, transfer back to your hotel and take the rest of the day at leisure.- B L

Day 7: Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai
Today take a scenic ride through paddy fields and mountains to Chinag Rai. Visit the Wat Phra Singh, a fine example of Lanna style architecture in Chiang Rai. Then drive to visit the Mae Sai Border between Thailand and Myanmar, followed by a stop at the Golden Triangle in Chiang Sean, where the three borders of Myanmar - Laos - Thailand are met. Later check in to your hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 8: Chiang Rai - Houi Xay - Pakbeng
Early in the morning, your Thailand tour guide will escort you to the pier of Houi Xay for Luang Say Cruise down the Mekong River to Pakbeng. One stop will be made to observe a rural life along the Mekong River at a Kamu village. Buffet lunch on board. Arrive at Pakbeng before sunset and enjoy your dinner while overlooking the Mekong River.

Day 9: Pakbeng - Pak Ou Cave - Luang Prabang
If you want, today you can start with a morning walk to a local market, where people from the surrounding village of minorities sell their goods. After that, continue the cruise, and the first stop is at Ban Baw Village to observe the process of making traditional rice alcohol. Buffet lunch on board, the boat will stop again to visit Pak Ou Cave, noted for hundreds of miniature Buddha sculptures. Arrive in Luang Prabang before sunset. Your tour guide in Laos will escort you to the hotel, relax the rest of the day.

Day 10: Luang Prabang Sightseeing
If you like, get up early to observe the Alms-giving procession at around 5:40 and then visit the Morning Market or Phousi Market where people from the surrounding villages have exotic goods on sales, such as dried buffalo skin, local tea, and saltpeter among the chickens and hill-tribe weavings. After that visit the Royal Palace Museum, then the stunning Wat Xieng Thong which represents classical Laotian architectural style. Afternoon, appreciate the impressive stupas of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, two of the major seats of Buddhism in town. Enjoy a peaceful sunset on Mt. Phousi. If you want, also visit the night market and explore the authentic local life.

Day 11: Luang Prabang Exploration
Today you will drive to Kuang Si Waterfall where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or a walk along the forest trails. On the way, stop by the Lao ethnic minority groups in Ban Na Ouan Village and Hmong Village, where hill tribe maintains their original lifestyle.

Day 12: Luang Prabang - Vang Vieng
Today, drive along one of the most scenic maintain road and head toward Vang Vieng. Lunch at local restaurant on the way with stunning mountain view. Upon arrival in Vang Vieng, you'll embark on a boat for a well-paced trip along the Nam Song River, which famous for its breathtaking mountain landscape.

Day 13: Vang Vieng Exploration
After breakfast, visit the Tham Jang Cave, one of the most popular caves in town and was used as a bunker in defense against invaders. Then walk to the Tai Deang Village and Souay Village where the hill tribe people are unfailingly friendly with waving hands and smiling faces. Rest of the day is free for your own exploration and relaxation.

Day 14: Vang Vieng - Vientiane
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the capital city of Vientiane. Along the way, you will visit Vang Xang, a famous archeological site dating back to 11th century also known as "pond of elephants". Hotel check-in upon arrival, and free at leisure for the rest of the day on your own.

Day 15: Vientiane
Today, a city tour leads us to the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, housing the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Followed is the Lao national icon, That Luang Stupa and Buddha Park; also stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph. Rest of the day is free.

Day 16: Vientiane - Hanoi
After breakfast at hotel, you will have some free time until get escorted the airport for afternoon flight to Hanoi. On arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, you will be escorted to your hotel for check-in and free at leisure in the evening.

Day 17: Hanoi Sightseeing
Today starts with Ho Chi Minh Complex including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday & Friday), Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda, and Quan Thanh Temple. The afternoon is impressive Ethnologic Museum, dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. Later a rickshaw tour will take you along narrow streets of the diverse Old Quarter. Last stop is Hoan Kiem Lake, where the famous Water Puppet Show will have a perfect performance for you.

Day 18: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Check-out in the morning. After an about 3.5 hours' scenic ride, get to Halong Bay, check in to your private cabin then start a fantastic cruise around the beautiful Ha Long Bay. Besides the enthralling scenery, the cruise also brings you to several local fishing villages where you can have a closer peek at local life. If weather allows, enjoy a variety of optional activities like kayaking, swimming, diving etc. before having dinner on board. In the evening, have fun with night fishing or just lay back to relax under the starry sky.

Day 19: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Today get up earlier to learn the ancient art of Tai Chi on the sundeck. Then your junk will arrive in the Surprise Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Ha Long Bay. Later, enjoy your brunch before check out at late morning. Then drive back to Hanoi.

Day 20: Hanoi - Sapa
After breakfast, you will drive to Sapa from Hanoi with a 5 hours drive, stop for a break or take photos en route. After check in the hotel and take a rest at Sapa, you will visit the Silver Waterfall - the most beautiful waterfall in Sapa, then enjoy the great view and feeling at the 'Heaven Gate' of Sapa - the highest point of Hoang Lien Son mountain range where you can see majestic Lai Chau Valley and imposing Fanxipan mount.

Day 21: Sapa Trekking Tour
Today you will take a morning walking tour to a busy market where Red Dao, Black & Flower H'Mong, Tay and other ethnic minority people converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their silverware and handicrafts and to buy provisions.
Afterward, you will do a trekking tour (about 3 hours' hike) to Lao Chai and Ta Van Village of the Black H'mong and the Day people, you will enjoy the fresh air, amazing scenery of the imposing mountain range, trek down world's most beautiful terraced rice fields, visit some local family on the way and learn unique culture and life of these ethnic groups. Drive back to Sapa for overnight.

Day 22: Sapa - Hanoi
This morning, you will visit Ma Tra Village first and then trek through the rice terraces to Ta Phin Village of the Red Dao minority (about 3 hours' trekking). After lunch in the village, drive back to Hanoi.

Day 24: Hue City Tour
After breakfast, first, visit the majestic King Minh Mang Tomb erected in 1840. Then sail the Perfume River to the serene Thien Mu Pagoda, the tallest of its kind in Vietnam. Later visit the Imperial Citadel and tour the Forbidden Purple City, a walled fortress and palace in the former capital. Later on, absorb the energy, sounds and odors of the bustling Dong Ba Market.

Day 25: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An
Morning head for Hoi An, en route stop by the Hai Van Pass for a stunning view of the coast and Da Nang City from the top. Upon arrival in Da Nang, visit the Non Nuoc Beach, Cham Museum, which has a fascinating collection of rare works of art, and last, the famous Marble Mountain. Arrive in Hoi An in the late afternoon, relax the rest of the day.

Day 26: Hoi An Sightseeing
Morning is a half-day join-in Eco-tour, by learning traditional fishing technique, paddling unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats to the now tranquil waterways of a past war, joining some hands-on activities, you'll get an authentic social and cultural insight into the local Vietnamese way of life.Afternoon, go around the tiny town of Hoi An and visit the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, renowned Chinese Temple, and former Vietnamese merchants' houses. Day 27: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City
Today head back to Da Nang for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, be escorted the hotel for check-in. Then you will tour the former Presidential Palace (Reunification Palace). From there, the Tan Dinh Church, Saigon Central Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall are all within walking distance making for a perfect free stroll. Today's last stop is Binh Tay Market, where is a perfect place to get close to local life and souvenir shopping.

Day 28: Ho Chi Minh City Sightseeing
Early morning, head to the incredible underground Cu Chi Tunnels network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Then the tour with the ornate temple of Cao Dai will be another highlight where you will attend the fantastic mid-day service together with the followers. After a simple lunch, drive back to the hotel and relax with Saigon sunshine.

Day 29: Ho Chi Minh - My Tho - Can Tho
In the morning, depart for My Tho to embark on a boat navigating around the small canals in the Mekong Delta region, get closer to daily activities of local people at My Tho Fish Market and the four islands. Continue to Ben Tre and observe the original craftsmanship to produce coconut candy and rice paper there. Later ride a horse cart toward Mr. Muoi Hai's house, famous for the authentic honey tea and traditional music 'Tai Tu' - the lovely and romantic melody. After an interesting sampan cruise, return to the pier in the afternoon and transfer to Can Tho. Relax at your hotel upon arrival.

Day 30: Can Tho - Siem Reap
Today take a boat cruise on the sparkling streams along the endless waterway of mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang Floating Market where gathers together hundreds of boats loaded with fruits, vegetables, and fish. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, take your flight ongoing to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, be transferred to your hotel for check-in and relax.

Breakfast then head for the 'Great City' of Angkor Thom, home to the famous Bayon Temple, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace, and other exquisite relics. Afternoon, proceed to the Angkor Wat, this UNESCO World Heritage Site from 12th century remains the world's largest religious monument. Later, climb up to the Bakheng Temple, if the weather permits, you can see the beautiful sunset landscape of Angkor Wat.

If you want, today take an early morning trip to Angkor Wat for its stunning sunrise and a close communication with the monks & nuns at nearby pagoda; enjoy your breakfast at the hotel or take it out, then visit the Banteay Srei, en route stop by some local villages to discover the joy of village life from villagers themselves. After lunch, savor the exquisite architecture and trace Khmer myths and legends at Ta Prohm Temple and Takeo Temple. You'll also have time for a leisure walk at the end of sightseeing.

Day 34: Phnom Penh City Tour
Today starts with the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town. Then a visit to Silver Pagoda, so named because of its floor made up of 5000 silver tiles, National Museum, and Wat Phnom, Phnom Penh's namesake, where boast a gorges city view over the tree-lined avenues.
Afternoon, head to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and Killing Fields of Choeung EK. The evening is free at leisure on your own.
