Day 1: International Arrival, Ho Chi Minh City

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City, your tour guide greets you at the airport with Indochina Odyssey Tours welcome sign and escorts you to the hotel for check-in. Relax at your hotel or walk around on your own.

Overnight: Ho Chi Minh City

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Sightseeing

Today you will start a tour of Ho Chi Minh City visiting the Thien Hau Temple (a Chinese temple) and the lively Binh Tay Market. After lunch, you will visit the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace (the former Presidential Palace). From there, the Tan Dinh Church, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall are all within walking distance and perfect for a nice stroll.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City Sightseeing

This morning set out for the incredible Cu Chi Tunnels network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the Vietnam War, and the ornate temple of Cao Dai where you can attend the fantastic mid-day service together with followers. The rest of the day is yours to relax.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Can Tho

Today you will head for My Tho in Mekong Delta to take a boat trip on Tien River and visit My Tho Fish Market and four islands. Later, ride a cart through a beautiful village to the Mr. Muoi Hai's House to enjoy honey tea. After a sampan cruise along the canals of Mekong River return to My Tho pier and drive to Can Tho. Check-in and enjoy some leisure time on your own.

Day 5: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City - Phnom Penh

Today starts with a boat trip along the endless waterways of mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang Floating Market where hundreds of boats are loaded with fruits, vegetables and fish jostling for trade, and a visit to lush orchards to taste delicious tropical fruits.

After a delicious lunch, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City to take the flight ongoing to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 6: Phnom Penh City Tour

Today starts with the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town. Then a visit to Silver Pagoda, so named because of its floor made up of 5,000 silver tiles, National Museum, and shrine of Wat Phnom.

Afternoon, head to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and Killing Fields of Choeung EK. The evening is free at leisure on your own.

Day 7: Phnom Penh - Kampong Thom - Siem Reap

Breakfast at hotel and then depart for Kampong Thom (about 2 hr's drive) via the central Skun District. Stop by a local village and check out fried spiders, a famous local delicacy. Afternoon continue to visit the temple of Kuk Hak Nokor, pre-Angkorian temple complex of Sambor Prei Kuk, and the stone bridge of Spean Kompong Kdei (Dragon Bridge). Upon arrival in Siem Reap, check in to hotel for rest.

Day 8: Siem Reap Sightseeing

Breakfast then head for the 'Great City'of Angkor Thom, home to the famous Bayon Temple, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace, and other exquisite relics.

Afternoon proceeds to the Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious monument. Later, visit the Phnom Bakheng Temple, which is the best place to view an Angkor Wat in the sunset.

In the evening, enjoy Apsara Dinner Show at Angkor Village Resort.

Day 9: Siem Reap Sightseeing

If you want, today take an early morning trip to Angkor Wat for its stunning sunrise and a close communication with the monks & nuns at nearby pagoda; breakfast at hotel or takeout breakfast all available, then visit the Banteay Srei Temple, en route stop by some local villages to discover the joy of village life from villagers themselves.

After lunch, savor the exquisite architecture and trace Khmer myths and legends at Ta Prohm Temple and Takeo Temple. You'll also have time for a leisure walk at the end of sightseeing.

Day 10: Siem Reap - Luang Prabang

Morning board a local longtail boat across the Tonle Sap Lake to visit Kompong Phluk - an isolated community of three villages built on stilts. After lunch, you'll be transferred to the airport to catch the flight to Luang Prabang. On arrival, you'll be met & transferred to your hotel.

Day 11: Luang Prabang Sightseeing

If you wish, you can get up earlier to observe the morning Alms-giving ritual and get a better understanding of local people's piety towards their religion. After that visit the Morning Market or Phousi Market, the largest market in Luang Prabang, go back to the hotel for breakfast and enjoy some free time.

Afternoon, your half day city tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, Wat Xieng Thong, stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Before sunset, climb up to the top of Mountain Phousi for sunset and then visit the Phousi Night Market.

Day 12: Luang Prabang Sightseeing

Today you will enjoy a cruise on the Mekong River with an exploration of the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, you will stop at the village of Ban Xanghai where people make local wine. On return to Luang Prabang, take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong known for Saa (jute) papermaking.

Day 13: Luang Prabang Sightseeing

Today you will head to the Elephant Village and then take a boat trip to Tad Sae Waterfall where you can have fun in the clear water. After lunch, drive back to Luang Prabang and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 14: Luang Prabang - Hanoi

After breakfast, drive to the Kuang Si Falls where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails. After lunch, drive back to the airport of Luang Prabang and take a late afternoon flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you'll be met & transferred to the hotel.

Day 15: Hanoi Sightseeing

This morning you will begin your visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday & Friday), Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, and Temple of Literature.

The afternoon starts with a visit to the impressive Museum of Ethnology, dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups, followed by a rickshaw ride along the narrow streets of the diverse Old Quarter. Last stop is Hoan Kiem Lake, where the famous Water Puppet Show will have a perfect performance for you.

Day 16: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Check out in the morning. After a 3-hour scenic drive to Halong Bay, check in to your private cabin then start a fantastic Halong Bay cruise. Besides the enthralling scenery, you will also take a short excursion to the Surprise Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. If weather allows, enjoy a variety of optional activities like kayaking, swimming, diving, etc.

Day 17: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue

Today get up earlier to learn ancient art of Tai Chi on the sundeck. Continue your unforgettable Halong Bay cruise until a big brunch is finished and then disembark. On the way back to Hanoi, you can stop by the ceramic villages and a pagoda. Then take the flight to the imperial city of Hue.

Day 18: Hue City Tour

After breakfast, visit the majestic Minh Mang Tomb erected in 1840. Then sail the Perfume River to the serene Thien Mu Pagoda, the tallest of its kind in Vietnam.

Later visit the Imperial Citadel and tour the Forbidden Purple City, a walled fortress and palace in the former capital. Later on, absorb the energy, sounds, and odors of the bustling Dong Ba Market

Day 19: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An

Morning head for Hoi An, en route stop by the Hai Van Pass for a stunning view of the coast and Da Nang from the top. Upon arrival in Da Nang, visit the Non Nuoc Beach, Cham Museum, which has a fascinating collection of rare works of art, and last, the famous Marble Mountain. Arrive in Hoi An in late afternoon and relax.

Day 20: Hoi An Sightseeing

This morning, go around the tiny town of Hoi An and visit the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, renowned Chinese Temple and former Vietnamese merchants' houses. Your guide will tell you all the stories behind these historical relics. The afternoon is a boat ride on the Hoai River to the Thanh Ha Pottery village to learn the traditional way of making pottery. Return to Hoi An and have some leisure time.

Day 21: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City, Departure

Head back to Da Nang airport to catch the flight to Ho Chi Minh City this morning. Upon arrival, connect your international flight home or to the next destination directly.
